The home kit is a mint jersey with “midnight green” accents, representing city’s minting and banking history. A hexagonal pattern is woven into the texture of the jersey, representing the Hornets- Charlotte’s first professional sports franchise.
The away kit takes its inspiration from one of the greatest drivers of all time, calling upon all who wear it to never back down and play with the fierce tenacity that defined Dale Earnhardt’s prolific career and earned him the legendary title “The Intimidator.”
NASCAR has played a large role in Charlotte’s history, with many great drivers hailing from NC and competing at the famous Charlotte Motor Speedway. It’s such an influence on the city’s culture that the NASCAR Hall of Fame is located in Uptown.
